Product Description
Need obstacle avoidance for your smart car? KY-032 infrared sensor module is the perfect choice. Detection range 2-40cm adjustable, TTL output (0=obstacle, 1=clear). Enable pin for power control. Dual potentiometers for tuning. Perfect for robot obstacle avoidance, line tracking, counting.
Quick Start Guide & Important Tips
️ Important:
Enable: Short EN to GND (jumper cap) for normal operation.
Adjustment: Turn 502 pot fully clockwise, then adjust 103 pot against white wall for max range.
Dark objects: Reduce detection distance.
Power: 3.3-5V only.
Arduino Code
int ledPin = 13;
int sensorPin = 3;
void setup() {
pinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT);
pinMode(sensorPin, INPUT);
}
void loop() {
if (digitalRead(sensorPin) == LOW) {
digitalWrite(ledPin, HIGH);
} else {
digitalWrite(ledPin, LOW);
}
delay(50);
}
Common Questions
Short detection range?
Adjust potentiometers, check power, dark objects reduce range.
Output always LOW?
Check EN pin grounded, no obstacle in range, adjust sensitivity.
Line tracking?
Works but TCRT5000 is better for line tracking.
