Quinoa, or quinoa, is a pseudocereal, meaning it is a plant that produces starchy seeds but is not a grain. It is rich in vitamins E, D, and B vitamins. It is also a source of many minerals such as zinc, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iron.
Due to its easy digestibility and high fiber content, it is recommended for pregnant women and people with diabetes, as it has a low GI.
1. Rinse the quinoa in a strainer, preferably several times, in cold water.
2. Measure the water – there should be twice as much as the grains.
3. Pour cold water over the grains and bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook slowly for about 20 minutes.
4. Leave the quinoa covered for about 20 minutes to absorb the remaining water and become loose – then it will be good, for example, in a quinoa salad.
