Supervised by [Game Device LAB]. Fully tuned specifically for FPS games to help you "win." This product aims not just for high sound quality, but for "sound that helps you win games." Supervising [Game Device LAB] focused above all on the accurate localization and sense of distance of "footsteps" and "gunshots" in FPS games. Therefore, they deliberately removed the "warmth" and "excessive smoothness" found in typical music DACs, resulting in a "clear sound" that depicts a wide space while clearly separating each individual sound. At its heart is the ESS "ES9039Q2M" chip, and in addition to the standard "NE5532" operational amplifier, the "MUSES01" was specially selected. While maintaining a resolution at the level of music listening, it delivers all the information necessary for competitive play to your ears without any loss.
All-in-one design for voice chat and more. Achieve a tangled mess with your cables. Previously, achieving both high-quality game audio and clear voice chat required using two separate devices: a DAC and an audio interface. The Z1 eliminates this complex setup with just one device. It mixes game audio from your PC or console, microphone audio, and even smartphone audio (from Discord, etc.) via AUX. It also comes standard with a sidetone function that lets you hear your own voice through headphones, making voice chat a breeze.
From PCs and consoles to smartphones, this device seamlessly connects to all your devices. Input terminals include USB-C (PC/smartphone), optical digital (consoles, etc.), and AUX. In addition to the standard 3.5mm output, it features a 4.4mm balanced output that will satisfy audiophiles, supporting a wide range of headphones. With a high output design of up to 430mW/32Ω, it can drive even high-impedance headphones. Furthermore, it features UAC1.0 compatibility, allowing for plug-and-play use with consoles like the PS5. Experience the convenience of "plug and play" for all gamers.
Seek your own ultimate sound. Customization that will appeal to audiophiles. The high-quality sound base can be further fine-tuned to your preferences and game genres. In addition to an intuitive physical 3-band equalizer (bass ±10dB, mid-high ±6dB), you can switch between 8 types of digital filters built into the ESS chip simply by pressing the volume knob. You can control even the subtlest nuances of sound, such as the attack and decay. And the greatest feature is the "op-amp replacement function". By simply opening the dedicated window on the bottom and replacing the chip (tools required), you can drastically change the character of the sound, satisfying your insatiable curiosity.
Functional beauty for gamers. A layout designed for ultimate practicality. The interface design prioritizes ease of use during gameplay. Large volume/microphone knobs, a highly visible screen, and key buttons such as input switching and mute are all located on the front. The included tilt stand allows you to position it at the most comfortable angle on your desk. Microphone input supports both XLR and 3.5mm. In addition to general headsets, it can also be used with professional condenser microphones (with 48V phantom power support). Everything you need to concentrate on your game is within easy reach.
Please note: We cannot guarantee compatibility with all commercially available headphones/earphones, but we have optimized it as much as possible. In the unlikely event that noise occurs due to incompatibility with your system, please contact us after arrival and we will accept returns free of charge. Also, when using the USB and AUX IN connected to the same computer, noise may occur due to a ground loop. In that case, please use a ground loop isolator between the Z1's AUX OUT and the computer's LINE IN.
Caution: When replacing the operational amplifier, be sure to insert the IC correctly, aligning the orientation (notch or dot mark) with the markings on the socket. Many of the returned cases we receive are due to incorrect insertion, resulting in a buzzing noise after replacement, and the problem does not resolve even when the original IC is reinstalled. Failures caused by such incorrect insertion are not covered under warranty, so please be aware of this beforehand. If you are unsure about replacing the IC, we recommend using the device in its standard configuration. Always perform the work with the power turned off.
