The MXR “M94SE Fat Sugar Drive” is a specially designed overdrive pedal with a bright custom pink sparkle finish that contains the clear overdrive tone of the “M294 Sugar Drive,” which was popular in the mini housing, in the same normal size housing as the “Phase 90.” This pedal features a unique drive control, and when you turn the DRIVE knob, the amount of clean tone blending changes, reproducing how the vacuum tube amplifier changes from clean to overdrive. Also, by boosting the pressure inside the effector, headroom is increased, and open sound is achieved with a wide range. These combinations can create a wide range of guitar sounds.

The bypass is set to true bypass by default, but it is possible to switch to a buffered bypass by removing the bottom plate and operating the internal switch.
