Main Features of the HD PENTAX-FA Limited

1. "HD Coating" for Enhanced Imaging Performance This lens features our proprietary, high-performance multi-coating, "HD Coating." Compared to conventional multi-coatings, this coating offers lower reflection and higher transmittance, reducing ghosting and flare and delivering clearer images even under challenging lighting conditions, such as backlight. This further enhances the clarity of the Limited Lens. Note 1: "HD" stands for High Definition.

2. Circular Aperture for Beautiful Bokeh All lenses now feature a circular aperture. This delivers more natural and beautiful bokeh, enhancing the imaging performance unique to the Limited Lens.

3. "Limited Lens" with Attention to Imaging and Texture Following the design concept of the "Limited Lens" series, we pursue the "final character of the lens" by repeatedly evaluating image quality using actual images, rather than just numerical evaluation using test equipment, and feeding this information back into the design. The lens barrel, hood, and cap are crafted from premium machined aluminum, enhancing the lens's texture. Additionally, cloisonné finger points enhance the lens's secure fit.

4. Other Features ① The front lens features a smudge-resistant SP (Super Protect) coating. ② The serial number for the black lens starts with 0000001, while the silver lens starts with 1000001. ③ The aperture ring retains its aperture, allowing access to all the functions of a K-mount film SLR camera.
