Product Introduction
Fine Molds 1/72 Jet Aircraft Series: Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-104J Fighter "Eiko" Plastic Model FF07
The F-104J fighter was selected as the successor to the F-86F, which supported the Japan Air Self-Defense Force during its early days.
Its compact, lightweight airframe, powerful engine, and high stability even at supersonic speeds exceeding Mach 2 earned it the nickname "the last manned fighter."
While primarily produced domestically, a total of 210 aircraft, including imported ones, were deployed, carrying out Japan's air defense missions from the 1960s until the deployment of the F-15J in 1986.
While affectionately known as "Eiko" (Eiko) in the JSDF, it is now commonly referred to as "Maruyon."
This kit is a completely new design using new molds from 2025.
Like the actual aircraft, the rear fuselage is detachable, allowing for display with the engine exposed.
The fuselage is divided along panel lines, while the rear section is molded as a single piece, ensuring a stress-free and beautiful finish.
This product is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting.
Assembly and painting require the use of additional adhesives, tools, and paints.
