Diatomaceous Earth is a sedimentary rock formed from the fossilized shells of diatoms that settled at the bottom of seas and lakes during the Cretaceous period.
Diatomaceous Earth is an excellent natural material with excellent filtration, heat retention, moisture absorption, and deodorizing properties due to its porous nature.
Diatomaceous Earth is extremely light and can absorb large amounts of water due to its countless microscopic holes.
It also has the ability to breathe independently, naturally releasing the absorbed moisture as water vapor once it reaches a certain level.
This keeps the surface fresh and dry, allowing for comfortable daily use.
Even if you use it for a long time, you can restore its absorbency by lightly sanding the surface with commercially available sandpaper (approximately 400 grit).
