Woody Joe 1/150 Edo Castle Wooden Model Assembly Kit
Constructed by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1606, the castle was rebuilt with each successive shogun: the second shogun Hidetada in 1622 and the third shogun Iemitsu in 1638.
The castle tower built by Iemitsu was destroyed in the Meireki fire in 1657 and has never been rebuilt since.
The five-story, five-floor, one-basement castle tower on the castle base stands 44.8 meters tall, with stone walls over 12 meters high. The tower tower towered over the city of Edo, towering majestically from the city.
Its height from the castle grounds is approximately 80 meters.
The golden gleaming gable board decorations, kenfish decorations, and shachihoko (carp whale) on the ridge are spectacularly displayed against the black copper-colored walls that cover two-thirds of the wall surface, and the castle's majestic appearance demonstrates the prestige of the Shogunate.
