The 501st Battalion was an elite clone trooper unit of the Grand Army of the Republic. Led by Captain Rex, this unit served under the direct command of Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano during the Clone Wars. The loyal troopers, who valued loyalty, showed their unwavering respect for Ahsoka Tano when she was reunited after being exiled from the Jedi Temple, all sporting helmets bearing her orange facial markings. However, at that moment, the execution of Order 66, the order to eliminate the Jedi, secretly implanted in the minds of the clone troopers, was imminent.
