Product introduction
A 66-year work where you can enjoy the witty songs of Trinidad and Tobago's national singer Kitchener!
Needless to say, Trinidad and Tobago's national singer Lord Kitchener made his record debut in the 40s. Early hits include the 'Jump In The Line' hit 'Jump In The Line' in '46, which was later sung by Harry Belafonte.
~ abbreviation ~ this is Kitchener's album from '66. The backing is the Ron Burridge Band. There were many excellent arrangers/bandleaders in Trinidad, and they each led an orchestra. Even so, it is Burr Ridge that has supported many top Calypsonians over a long period of time. A horn section that accurately follows the melody that Kichner sings. This precise and sophisticated arrangement is Burr Ridge. The contrast with the loose and tasteful singing voice is amazing. ~ Excerpt from explanation
