This was Boss's first distortion pedal, debuting in 1978. Its sharp, deep distortion and faithful response to picking nuances have earned it overwhelming support from guitarists around the world. This distortion pedal is also well-suited as a gain booster for stack amplifiers. This pedal has long been produced as the basic model of the Boss Distortion series and has been sold mainly in North America, but in response to requests from many guitarists, we are now resuming sales in Japan.
