This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit reproducing the Type 2 Amphibious Tank Ka-Mi, developed and operated by the Japanese military during World War II.
It is modeled in the configuration for navigating the sea with floats attached to the front and rear.
The front floats reproduce the late model with left and right splits.
The floats accurately reproduce not only their shape but also details such as mounting hardware.
Furthermore, the observation tower mounted on the top of the turret and the ventilation shafts on the top of the engine room are also faithfully reproduced.
Slide molding is used extensively for the rear floats, upper and lower hull parts, making assembly easy and reliable.
The road wheels and suspension are also realistically detailed.
The tracks use an easy-to-assemble belt type.
Furthermore, the accurately reproduced turret features a 37mm tank gun, complete with a detailed barrel base housed inside the turret, resulting in a highly mechanical finish.
The turret hatch and hull ventilation grille hatches can be assembled in either open or closed positions.
