[Hiba Kitchen] Natural Aomori Hiba Cutting Board, 39 X 24 X 2 Cm, Wooden, Handcrafted Hiba

This cutting board is made locally in Aomori Prefecture from 100% natural Aomori hiba. Each board is hand-finished, allowing for good drainage and a pleasant texture on both sides. Aomori hiba has been shown to have antibacterial, insect-repellent, anti-fungal and deodorizing properties, making it ideal for use in food handling tools. The wood is neither too hard nor too soft, providing a comfortable grip for the blade of a knife. To reduce weight and resist warping, and to make the most of this precious resource without wasting it, we use natural hiba plywood that combines flat and straight grain.
