The digiFilm (TM) Camera Y35 is a modern revival of the design of the "Electro35," a camera with an electronically controlled shutter.
It features a winding lever reminiscent of Showa-era film cameras, and a system modeled after the film cartridges you open the back cover to change depending on the type of image quality you want to capture.
Just like changing film, you can choose the image quality and finish to suit the shooting situation.
It has a built-in development module-like module, and just like a film camera, the ISO sensitivity and color tone will change depending on the digiFilm (TM) installed.
It is used solely for image quality control, and is set so that images can only be taken using the image processing settings configured for each digiFilm (TM).
Images are recorded to an SD card.
There are five types: "digiFilm (TM) -YASHICA blue," which features a blue tone with a slight amount of noise that captures natural moments, and coarse grain with high saturation and contrast; "digiFilm (TM) -1600," which has a high sensitivity equivalent to ISO 1600 and is suitable for shooting in dark places; "digiFilm (TM) -200," which is suitable for sunny outdoor scenes and features low contrast and high image quality equivalent to ISO 200; "digiFilm (TM) -B&W," a monochrome equivalent to ISO 400 that is suitable for shooting urban cityscapes; and "digiFilm (TM) -6x6," a square format equivalent to ISO 200 that can be used for Instagram.
