Vacuum insulation panels are used in expensive cooler boxes, and are thin yet highly insulating materials. Traditionally, they are used inside cooler boxes, but we have improved them so that they can also be used as the inner lid. SEIDO's vacuum insulation panels use high-density composite fibers for the side material. The fabric is woven with composite fibers that are resistant to scratches and tears, making it highly durable. The core material is made of inorganic insulating material. By compressing and sealing the core material in a vacuum, we have achieved high insulating performance while keeping the panel ultra-thin, something that was not possible with conventional insulation materials. The thermal conductivity of vacuum insulation panels is 0.008 w/mk, which means that they are four times more efficient than the polyurethane foam insulation used in expensive cooler boxes. The goal is to maintain the cooling power of the cooler box without compressing the contents as much as possible. After leaving 1.1 kg of ice cubes in a 30°C (86°F) temperature environment for 6 hours, the remaining ice volume increased from 35% to 55%.
