In internal combustion engines using spark plugs, a high voltage of 20,000 to 35,000 volts is required to generate a discharge in the combustion chamber during the compression stroke.

An ignition coil is a type of transformer that converts 12V battery voltage into the high voltage required to discharge the spark plug.

An ignition coil basically consists of a primary coil, secondary coil, and core, and the casing is filled with epoxy resin to ensure insulation between these components.

If a malfunction is discovered in one cylinder, the ignition coils in the other cylinders may also be deteriorating and may soon malfunction, so we recommend replacing all cylinders.
